Kolkata: Some relatives of a three-year-old child, who died at Institute of Child Health in Park Circus, ransacked the hospital after the news of her death was announced onThursday morning. A large contingent of police went to the hospital and brought the situation under control. Computers and furniture worth several lakhs of rupees were destroyed. The hospital authorities have ordered a probe into the matter. Three-year-old Sana Sajjad who was suffering from high fever was brought to the hospital around 2 am. On Thursday morning, the hospital authorities broke the news of her death to the relatives. Infuriated over the announcement, some relatives went to the hospital and ransacked the reception and the doctors’ chamber. Refuting the allegation that no senior doctors were present at the hospital and the sisters had not looked after the child, the authority said expert doctors had attended the child and they did everything they could to save her life.
