Big Sky Conference Track and Field Championships: Day 1

first_img Brad James FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailMOSCOW, Idaho-Tuesday, as the Big Sky Conference outdoor track and field championships commenced at Dan O’Brien track, the decathlon and heptathlon competitions took center stage.While not all of the events were completed in these partcular categories during Day 1 of competition,  many impressive performances occurred.The current leader in the men’s decathlon is Montana State’s Mason Storm who has 3884 points. Southern Utah’s Erik Ostrom placed ninth overall in the standings through the first day of competition with 3289 points.For the women’s heptathlon competiton, Kristen O’Handley of Portland State has the lead with 3062 opints and Southern Utah’s Jentry Skidmore currently finds herself in 11th place with 2685 points.Both the decathlon and heptahlon resume Wednesday, while the majority of the events commence Thursday.
